Penchala Kona History: ' Penu'
means huge and 'Sila' means rock(kshetram) .Penusila kona translated to
Penchalakona. In the ancient days Lord Sri Vishnu killed Hiranyakasipa Next murder to Hiranyakasipa, Lord was passing

Narasimha Swamy, Goddess Sridevi came in a costume of Chenchu Lakshmi,daughter

manifested). Thus, Chenchu tribes are certain importance in this temple.

Water Falls: The Water falls coming from the hill where

water falls is named after him as ‘Kanvayeru’. Now the transferred to

guest houses will be available for people who are coming from long distant places . There is a bus facility from
Rapuru to Penchalakona every half an hour. Distance around 30 Kilometers. From
Nellore, for every hour there will be a bus to Penchulakona. The distance is
around 75 Kilometers. People coming from Kadpa, Tirupati and environs can reach
here via VenkataGiri and Rapuru. Tirupati is distance from 115 Kilometers
Distance from Guduru is 65 Kilometers.
