About Mahabalipuram: The Mahabalipuram was  established for the duration of the 7th century and afterward it was Narasimha Varman II, (Rajasimha) finished the skillful work in his rule. This is one of the pre historic of the south Indian Temples which were shaped temples founding in the natural history Dravidian style.

The Mahabalipram shore temple has very popularity and visitors gather round here since it has been one of the listed amongst the world heritage sites of the UNESCO. This temple has made by full of so many carvings situated.
The Mahabailipuram known as Mamallapuram, the city of Mamalla, is later than the designate of great Pallava leader Narasimhavarman-I (AD 630-68). The temple located in the duration of the time of Periplus (first century AD) and Ptolemy (AD 140) and many Indian colonists sailed to South-East Asia through this port town. The temple generally known as shore temple area is well maintained and is fenced environment. 

The stones can be look as melted by sea water and within view of the temple is not open for people; the temple is bordered by a stone wall on which a stone imprinted in "Cow" shape is placed.In Mahabalipuram mainly the nine colossal temples originate, the generally significant are Five Rathas known following the famed Panca Pandavas brothers of the Mahabharata fame. These monuments are engraved out a one rock with choice of all known forms of plan and elevations. While the Dharmaraja, Arjuna and Draupati rathas are four-sided figure on plan, the Bhima and Ganesha rathas are rectangular and Sahadeva ratha apsidal.

The Draupadi ratha is look like as a cottage holy place while the Arjuna ratha is a dvitala vimana with a mukhamandapa. The Bhima ratha is rectangular on plan with a salakara wagon-vaulted covering. The Dharmaraja ratha is a tritala vimana having efficient shrines at all the talas. The Nakula-Sahadeva ratha with an apsidal plan and height designate the tentative propensity of the designer.Though monolithic sculpting, the organization structural design was launched on a impressive scale by Pallava Rajasimha (AD 700-28), culminating in creation of the world famous Shore temple. The Shore temple is a multipart of three temples, like, Rajasimhesvara (a small tritala vimana facing west), the Kshatriyasimhesvara (the larger east facing vimana) and Nripatisimha Pallava Vishnugriha (an east facing, oblong, flat-roofed mandapa shrine) housing the reclining Vishnu.This temples  These shrines are secured by two ramparts.
 
In Mahabalipuram was situated in the three temples, one temples has Vishnu temple and another two temples has Lord Shiva.The Vishnu temple was established by Narasimha Varman Iand Shiva’s temple were established by Narasimha Varman II. The Lord Shiva temple has doorways besides two Dwaraka Palakas east facing. Here the Shiva temples were damaging. There is location of Somaskanda idol inside the temple Skanda and Ganesha are situated on the close to the wall.

By Road: Mahabalipuram is  well connected by a number of  buses to Chennai.
By Train: The nearest railway station is Chennai Railway Station which is at a distance of 45 km. Chengalpattu is very close Mahabalipuram which is at a distance from 29 km. 
By Air: Chennai is the nearest airport and is just 45 km from Mahabalipuram.
