About Ajanta Caves:The Ajanta Caves situated in Aurangabad, Maharashtra and India. These Caves are obtained the name from the village named as Ajanta. These Caves are position closed by 12 km. Here 30 stones carved about Buddhist cave monuments and it date from the 2nd century BCE.The position of this valley contained a peaceful and quiet atmosphere for the Buddhist religious monks.This cave is the earliest chaityagriha at Ajanta. A Brahmi inscription on the facade dated to the 2nd century B.C.



 In 1819 the Ajanta Caves are discovered by British Army Officer John Smith and for the period e he was out in the wild trying to hunt tigers. John noticed the massive arch of this cave from the view point which eventually led to the discovery of this Caves The government Archaeological Survey of India Ajanta caves said that “The present most excellent example of India art, mainly looking the great painting. The Ajanta caves have famous for its murals and awesome for paintings. Since Caves were confirmed a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. The location is a confined monument in the concern of the Archaeological Survey of India. These caves are digging in horse–shoe formed bend of rock outside almost 76 m in height overlooking a fine stream known as Waghora.

  

Ajanta Caves; the most popular is the first Cave. The Cave is each inch the combine of colors. It seems that some of these colors smashed. The main hall both side of the wall carved Vajrapani and Padmapani images are situated. Second Cave Sarparaju, appear in their associates.  In the top view, fruits, birds, there are a few more preposterous designs. The designs are feel of sari.4th Cave will disappear completely. But it would be the largest Buddhist monasteries of Ajanta. Ninth Cave it is also one of the first places of worship. The arches of the windows appear to be pretty. It is the biggest Buddhist sthoopa. Tenth Cave was hall of worship. It is one of the oldest temples in Ajanta Caves. It built on second century BC.15, 13, 12.8 caves and monasteries of Theravada tradition.16th Cave is also a Buddhist monastery. Which has unconsciousness of princess images display.  17th Cave the walls, the roof of the Buddhist monastery, which is filled with artwork. The heaven queens, great singers appear above top. The 26th Cave is a home of Mahayana holy place. The statue of Buddha relaxing and die is found here.   The first of the two scenes depict the life of Buddha on the walls of the cave are the first room. The Ajanta paintings are inspiration to affect painting in Tibet and Sri Lanka. Abanindranath Tagore as well used the Ajanta paintings for encouragement.

By Road:  Ajanta is easily available from Aurangabad as well as from Jalgaon. 
By Train: The nearest railway stationis Jalgaon from 28 km. It is centre point of all major railway stations of India and has Bhusaval (Just 28kms from Jalgaon) as second largest depot of railways in entire Asia.
By Air:  Pune is the nearest international airport from Aurangabad about 235 km.
