About Srikalahasteeswara: Sree Kalahasthi temple is located in chittor,Andra Pradesh.The Lord Srikalahastisweerudu was established in Suvarnamukhi along the side of the river. Svayambhuvu means Ligam, in front of lingam side by side wind coming from the lamp. Srikalahastini  Kwon as 'South Kashi'  called by Boddu Pathyanya. Sri Kalahasti is one of the ancient holy places in Andhra Pradesh. It is believed that many saints attained ‘mukti’ (salvation) at this ecentric and special punyakshetra. The presiding diety of this punyakshetra (the holy place) is Srikalahasteeshwara. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the pancha bhoota sthalas. ‘Air’ being the element in case of Srikalahasti. The ‘lingam’ in this temple is ‘swayambhu’ and is called ‘Sri Kalahasteeshwara Swamy’, named after three aficionado - sri (spider), kala (snake), hasti (elephant) who worshipped Shiva with unflinching devotion and attained Bhakthi (savior) at this place. The “RAMASETU” bridge with a history of nearly 100 years. This temple is the Western Vahini, the flow of the river suvarnamukhi.

In the third century B.C, Tamil unity poet writing Nakkeeran about the South -Kasi historical field is Srikalahasti. Tamil poets and sambandar, Upper, manikyavasagar, Sundaramoorthy, pattinattar, and vadalur of the Sri Swami, etc.They also visited this place.The lyrical style sculptures carved stones found in the adjacent hill to the temple. The Cholas, Later than Pallavas built in the eleventh century was to improve upon the old temple. The Kulothunga first tower was built at the entrance of the south wind. The other was built by the third Kulothunga. The 12th century AD the king of Viranarasinha Yadavaraya, existing walls and towers built to connect the four gates. Srikrishnadevaraya hall with carved stone pillars based on the work of his one hundred and far east-west direction seems to be toward the high Gali Gopuram  in 1516 A.D. This is an indication of the success of Gajapatula tower built in 1516. The Tower of May 26, 2010, crashed on. The dome can be found in the cracks here and there over ten years and has been restored to the temple officials before the collapse that occurred a few days ago due to the storm curved one side of the fault as well.

Ganapathi Temple: The grave is located in the entrance to the temple of Ganapati temple. Including the entry is only for one time. As a way to step wayinto the nook is thin. About to fly to a depth of 20 feet, and then there is the statue of Ganesh. Devotees wishes to fulfill Lord.


How To reach Sree Kalahasti:
Air: Tirupati airport is 15km from the city. Flights to Tirupati are available from Hyderabad, Chennai ,Bangalore, and Vijayawada. Indian Airlines.

Rail: Tirupati railway station is in the centre of the town. Good rail links with Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad etc. Trains via Renigunta (10km from Tirupati) or Gudur nearby. From Renigunta / Gudur  Tirupati by train, bus, or taxi.

Bus: APSRTC (Yedukondalu Bus Station) buses run from all the important places in the south and between Tirupati and Tirumala. TTD also runs buses between Tirupati and Tirumala, free of cost.
