AboutSri Venkateshwara National Park: Sri Venkateshwara National Park is a biosphere reserve in Tirupathi, Chittor distric, Andhra Pradesh, India. As the government of India confirmed the Seshachalam Hills as one of the biosphere reserves of India in 2010, this national park becomes the part of it. The Zoo is increase on a 2212 Hectors of ground and delights about 86 thousand visitors every year. Sree Venkateswara park is a national park.
The Sri Venkateswara National Park at Tirupati, as it asserts to be, is indeed a Zoo with a mythological touch. The Zoo, classified as a ‘big  zoo’ is the home for a large collection of Animals, Birds, Reptiles and Flora. The entrance of the Zoo Park depicts sculptures of Indian Gods who are icons for a mixture of animals. The doorway reads the famous quote, “I am the eternal seed of living beings” from the Bhagawad Gita.The National park total area of the park is 353 km. The Zoo currently has 349 birds, 138 reptiles and 168 mammals.

 
The National Park is placed in Eastern Ghats increase more than the Seshachalam hills of Cuddapah district and Tirumala hills of Chittor district. The distance from the ground varies from 150 to 1,130 m. The land is rising and falling with forest covered valleys. The majority of the rainfall is conventional from the northeast monsoon and a tiny from the southwest monsoon. The vegetation here is a mix of dry deciduous and moist deciduous types.

Flora:
 The National park plants  consists of dry deciduous mixed forest with patches of moist deciduous forests in the valleys. The several no of rare and widespread plant species like red sanders Terminalia pallida, sandalwood, Cycas beddomei, Syzygium alternifolium, Psilotum nudum , Shorea talura, Shorea and thumburggaia occur in this region. The region has about 1,500 vascular plant types belonging to 174 families, of which many are endemic. . Some of the other plants found here.


Fauna:
 The National park totally 178 types of birds from this park have been identified. The worldwide vulnerable yellow-throated bulbul is seen here. Pompadour green pigeon, a bird of the Himalayas and the Western Ghats is quite common in these forests. The critically rare Oriental white-backed vulture is originate in the national park. The National park wide range of animals are Tiger,Jackal, Fox,Civet Cat ,Quail, Crested Serpent Eagle, Peacock, Jungle Fowl Indian Giant Squirrel, Tree Shrew Panther, Spotted Deer , Jungle Cat, Rare and Scarce Golden Gecko, Ashy Crowned Finch Lark, Indian Roller, Kingfishers, White Bellied Woodpecker Lizards, Partridges, Ibex, Sloth Bear, Pig, Bear, Bonnet Monkey, Mongoose, Wild Dogs, Sam bar, Black Buck, and Bison.

Visiting the Zoo Best Season:
June to March are the best months to visit the Zoo.The Zoo is located in Pudipatla Post.The Zoo is 12 Kms from the Central Bus Station, 12 Kms from the Tirupati Railway Station and 31 Kms from the Airport.The Zoo will be open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM for the duration of Summer and between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The Zoo will be closed for visitors on Mondays. But, it will remain open on Monday if it is a general holiday or a festive day.
