About Puttaparthi: Sathya Sai Baba  Prasanthi Nilayam, ‘The house of Supreme Peace’, is the Ashram of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in front of the village of Puttaparthi in the Anantapur, Andra Pradesh, India. Sri Sathya Sai Baba Puttaparthi, is the most bright and versatile prophet, modern India has produced, is believed to be the very avatar (personification) of love and the voice of one's own deepest heart talking to each individual outwardly. The wisdom of the Sai Baba are based on the famous 'five props' of Sathya (fact), Dharma (virtue) Santhi (calm), Prema (universal love) and Ahimsa (non violence). Prasanthi Nilayam, over the years, has attracted people from all over world.

The Ashram has rules conduct which every devotee should follow. The 23rd of November is famous with huge delight and eagerness by the devotees of Baba at the Prasanthi Nilayam. The Prasanthi Nilayam Sai Baba birth day come to million devotees. Where Sai Baba gives 'darshan' two times daily. Prasanthi Nilayam, which means "the house of highest peace", is the name given to the ashram of Shri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi. In 1950, Puttaparthi Sai on 25th birthday, the prophet inaugurated this ashram. This wonderful house comprises of fine temples, post office, super-specialty hospital, school, kitchens rooms, dining rooms, cottages, public relatives desk, museums, big stadiums, educational institutions, the Sai Space Theatre etc. cafeteria, dormitories etc. It also houses a huge 'Darshan Hall', a place where Baba meets his devotees


Puttaparthi has urbanized into a town. The Puttaparthi surrounding temples like Subramanya Mandir and Gayathiri Mandir are additional places to visit. The Dharma Shtupaa, a 50 foot high pillar commemorating the union of all religions, now amazing sight. Sarva Planetarium, stadiums, educational institutions and Sai space Theatre are some other features of the Ashram. When u come to non- office hours (8:00 pm to 6:00 am) arrive in Prasanthi Nilayam , lodging will be provided for a day in the dormitories, as selected by the Sevadal volunteers at the Ashram doorway. Here the devotees are necessary to statement to the lodging Office afterward for the period of office hours and gather their accommodation receipt in order to expand their keep on in the Ashram.


How to Reach Puttaparthi Sathya Sai Baba:
Puttaparthi is well related by road, rail and air and Bangalore is the adjacent metropolis city located about 120 Km from Prasanthi Nilayam. 

By Road: The Prasanthi Nilayam bus terminal is situated presently opposite the Ashram.  Main cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Tirupati and Chennai available buses.   

By Train: The ‘Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam’ railway station is located 8 km from the Ashram.  The important cities from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Visakhapatnam and Mumbai from which there is direct connectivity through Railway lines. The Dharmavaram station is main raily way station, about 40 km from the Ashram. This Station passes through all main cities trains.  

 By Air: The adjacent major airport is the Bangalore airport located at about 120 km from Prasanthi Nilayam.
