About Srikalahasteeswara: Sree Kalahasthi temple is located in chittor,Andra
Pradesh.The Lord Srikalahastisweerudu was established in Suvarnamukhi
along the side of the river. Svayambhuvu means Ligam, in front of lingam side
by side wind coming from the lamp. Srikalahastini Kwon as 'South Kashi' called by Boddu Pathyanya. Sri Kalahasti is
one of the ancient holy places in Andhra Pradesh. It is believed that many
saints attained ‘mukti’ (salvation) at this ecentric and special punyakshetra.
The presiding diety of this punyakshetra (the holy place) is
Srikalahasteeshwara. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of
the pancha bhoota sthalas. ‘Air’ being the element in case of Srikalahasti. The
‘lingam’ in this temple is ‘swayambhu’ and is called ‘Sri Kalahasteeshwara
Swamy’, named after three aficionado - sri (spider), kala (snake), hasti
(elephant) who worshipped Shiva with unflinching devotion and attained Bhakthi
(savior) at this place. The “RAMASETU” bridge with a history of nearly 100
years. This temple is the Western Vahini, the flow of the river suvarnamukhi.

town. Good rail links with Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad etc. Trains via Renigunta
(10km from Tirupati) or Gudur nearby. From Renigunta / Gudur Tirupati by train, bus, or taxi.
