About Arignar Anna Zoological Park: Arignar Anna
Zoological Park, also famous as Zoo and situated the Vandalur .It is a suburb
in the southwestern part of Chennai, India, about 31Kms from the city centre
and 15Kms from Chennai Airport on GST Road. The zoo is adjacent with the Guindy
National Park. The Arignar Anna Zoological Park established in 1855, the park
was the first public zoo in India. It is accepted by the Central Zoo Authority
of India. The Zoo occupy the place over an area of 602 hectares, the park is
the main zoological garden in India and is home to seven white tigers. The Zoo
has available of 170 species of animals in from 81 enclosures. The Zoo on 48
species of mammals, 64 species of birds, 30 species of reptiles, 5 species of
amphibians, 30 species of fishes, and 10 species of insects in the park.
